“So you are really planning to take that exam?” Raghu was almost distraught about his friend Ramanan’s decision.
“Huh yeah. Now please don’t keep staring at me like that!” Ramanan was trying to recollect the last few chapters in the course which he had prepared in a lot of hurry.
“Sure of course I won’t! Who am I just another servant for great people like you.” The sarcasm in Raghu’s voice was inescapable.

This entry is part of a series, unforgettable-trip» As we reached the final few hours of our amazing and weird journey we still doubted catching the train. And our doubts became more pronounced as we ended up getting stuck at a toll gate. Some lucky day we were having!
The guard just told us all to wait until he got a clearance from the other end, meaning the toll gate at the bottom of the hill. We decided we had had it and decided to bide our time by making calls to inform our kith and kin that we may be reaching one day late.

This entry is part of a series, unforgettable-trip» Someone rightly said life is full of surprises. I realized they couldn’t have been more truthful especially after having experienced a surprise at the very next turn of our journey.
Our bus was told to go slowly since a truck with logs was taking a difficult turn at the opposite side. Some of us sitting in front got to see it happen. The truck was not just carrying logs, it was overstuffed with it. Some morons had decided to maximize their profits by fattening the load per trip.

This entry is part of a series, unforgettable-trip» You can put it off as a series of (most) unfortunate events or that some demi-god was having fun by playing pranks with us, but I would simply surmise it as the result of playing too many games of hide-n-seek.
We started our way downward curling and twining down the slopes of Munnar. Most of the people had slept probably because of mere exhaustion of all those aforementioned games. We could hardly have traveled for half an hour when the bus grinded to a halt around a curve.

This entry is part of a series, unforgettable-trip» Our team trip to Munnar-Tekkadi went really well. The accommodation was good, the food was okay, we visited all the spots we wanted and overall the organization was really nice. It was too good to be true, until we started the return journey down hill that is…
We knew we were running a bit late already and only around 10 hours of time left to catch the train at Madurai. The driver informed us that it would take anywhere between 4-5 hours to reach the station and we can catch the train with a lot of spare time left.

“What is your problem with fire?” asked Shyam.
“Nothing man, really!” Guna tried to lie to his friend.
“Cut the crap, will you? Anyone could notice you were not so very comfortable during the festival.” said Shyam referring to the Bhogi which was a day back.
“Okay. I’ll tell you, but promise me you won’t ever blurt it to anyone else. Will you?”

Ok. This one was return in a rather peaceful state of mind. I wanted to write a story which is absolutely bland to the senses but still has some small message to convey. If you are looking for some thrilling/ action filled story, you better look elsewhere. This one is going to be as simple as a “Plain Dosa”…
