It’s so unfair to say
Life is all just mud and clay;
For it’s in the same sticky soil
That the flower blossomed;
Your tryst with life began
All bright and gay!
You can settle down saying
The sun has set in
Or relax and enjoy
The late evening chill;
Life’s not about dealing with dawn and dusk
It’s what’s in between where you are left to fill!
He sees the open vast lands
And is not satisfied with it
He splits himself into territories
And proclaims he’s a patriot!
He knows no god and yet
Wants to defend the unknown
Practicing strange beliefs, fighting
And sometimes killing the seen for the unseen!
So what is everlasting?
Love or Hate…
I just pondered over this
And came up with the obvious…
Neither is!
Far too long have I tried,
To imagine your beautiful face;
Too many times have I died,
Coming ever so close to my dreams.
Here we go,
Walking on the shores of life
Speeding all the way!
We walk the line,
Like ants following one another
Crawling all along!
The shore is long,
And the waves are strong;
Pulling and sucking us all.
The sand is a quagmire,
All mushy and squishy,
But nevertheless we trod along.
“You know what I would do if I…“ he didn’t complete the sentence; his son cut in as usual.
“I know what you would have done and I know what to do. Please spare the play acting and let me get on with my life.“
His retort left the old man staggering. But he knew his son needed him.
“I can understand your anger. You know when I was your age I was in a similar…“
“Do I have to tell you again and again? Have you no sense? Or do you think I am unfit to live on my own? I have the right to privacy. Please stop giving me discourses.“
“Please drive slowly will you? Can’t you see our child is crying!”
Sheila’s plea went unheard as Rocky stepped on the accelerator.
“You are the one who told me we’d have a holiday at that god forbidden house. Why do you want to spoil it? Why are you doing this to me?” she cried.
“Because I love to see you cry.” And he followed this with a menacing laugh.
‘I love gadgets’ Yes I really do. In fact, this ‘new found’ love made me start a community by the same name in orkut (publicity 
). But sometimes, I really find myself in the wrong place as far as electronics go.
I happened to make a call to a shop, selling all consumer electronic items, to enquire about the pricing of a flat screen TV (out of curiosity of course 
).
“Do you have any flat screen TV? How much is the cost?”
“We don’t procure them sir, nobody in this place (you can take it as Chennai) will get it!”
Just some thoughts passing by the realities of life:
Some people are lucky,
Born talented,
Always appreciated and
Romancing the world.
Some more are lucky,
To appreciate the talented,
To applaud and enjoy anything
That comes their way.
