Considering how bad our earlier “planned” trip turned out to be, we took no risks this time and went in for an unplanned one.
Surprise, surprise! It turned out to be just okay!
The trip to Bamberg was short, crisp and to the point. Our idea was to visit the old city and that’s exactly what we did the moment we got down from the train – like a bullet from a gun! We passed over a couple of bridges and some market area till we met the small ships that took us in a cruise around the river Regnitz.
But to me the highlight turned to be the switching of waters!
We saw some long ships… and some REALLY long ones too! We managed to catch a glimpse of Little Venice (of course) and some good scenic spots
