Trip to Hong Kong

We are back from three days of short vacation to Hong Kong. I took the Shenzhen route and paid the price of a really long travel time. Here’s a brief look at the trip highlights.

Behind the Great Wall

It is now two weeks since I left the sanctity of my home and decided to pursue something new. The plan was on for almost two to three months but I admit the final set of events was triggered at an alarming pace! It was on a Wednesday that I was driving my vehicle to a very familiar work place, in the blissful December weather of Chennai, set to do tasks that I had grown comfortable to and chat with friends who are really close to me; and by the very next day I was told to be prepared to change it all quite soon and come Friday I was all set to travel!

A Visit to Pulicat Lake

We managed to visit the lake in Pulicat – famous for our fine feathered friends. We might have been a wee bit early, for their peak season is not supposed to be till end of this month. But we did go nonetheless, with a quick halt at the entrance of Sriharikota Space Station and a leisurely visit to Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary.

Trip to Kerala

Sensing Kerala is not the same as what we get to see in those subtle Incredible India ads – believe me on this. It takes more than just good planning and a great place to create a memorable trip. A Special Swiss Trip

I’ve imagined this many a time, but thoughts are not close enough describe the feeling I’ve had over the past three days. We came to Swiss again at last! The turbulent personal situations we went through just about one year back only made the trip sweeter!

Black Forest

I never realized that even a weekend trip could refresh oneself so much. Now I understand why the Black Forest area stands out as one of Germany’s most favorite holiday spots!

Cologne

Cologne is so far away from my place that not even a one way flight trip could gurantee that I visited all important places that the city had to offer :( Yet I can vouch that the city seemed to be bubbling with tourists from various countries.
