Our trip to places South of England

We are back from a really good trip to places South of London. It is impossible to forget the sound of the sea kissing the pebble beach of Durdle Door and our windy tour to the Isle of Wight.

Trip to Scotland

A travelogue of our trip to Scotland

We are just back from our first real holiday in the UK. We visited Edinburgh and parts of the Scottish Highlands. Be it the natural scenery of the Highlands or the old streets of Edinburgh Scotland has a something for every traveler.

Trip to Wales

Our weekend trip to Llandudno and Llanberis part of Wales

After many a moon I managed to take a quick break from work and buy myself a long weekend. Our two day visit to Wales was filled with the usual jam packed travelling and sightseeing.

Trip to Windermere and Manchester

Pics from our trip to The Lake District of UK and a short visit to The Old Trafford in Manchester

Looks like there has been an eerie silence in my blog for the past few months. I feel it is time to bring in a bit of Easter cheer!

New Year 2015 at Bangalore

We spent our New Year’s Day at Bangalore this time. I am just penning a few thoughts on the year gone by and also jotting down a quick travelogue. There was not too much of travel as compared to our previous trip. Perhaps because we intended this to be a nice little break than a vacation of some sort.

It’s the end of another year and as is my tradition for past several years it is time to write a yearly write up. But then again, I was traveling around on new year’s eve and so wished to write a travelogue as well. Why not just club these together?

Coorg Trip

A travelogue of our trip to Coorg

I’ve been on vacations that are determined by time and money. But our trip to Coorg will go down as one of the very few that was determined by our health (or rather the lack of it)!

Behind the Great Wall

From Chennai to Shanghai – a quick recap of what happened before I forget it all!

It is now two weeks since I left the sanctity of my home and decided to pursue something new. The plan was on for almost two to three months but I admit the final set of events was triggered at an alarming pace! It was on a Wednesday that I was driving my vehicle to a very familiar work place, in the blissful December weather of Chennai, set to do tasks that I had grown comfortable to and chat with friends who are really close to me; and by the very next day I was told to be prepared to change it all quite soon and come Friday I was all set to travel!

A Visit to Pulicat Lake

One final trip for this year – to Pulicat Lake, Sriharikota and Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary.

We managed to visit the lake in Pulicat – famous for our fine feathered friends. We might have been a wee bit early, for their peak season is not supposed to be till end of this month. But we did go nonetheless, with a quick halt at the entrance of Sriharikota Space Station and a leisurely visit to Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary.

Trip to Kerala

Here’s a travelogue of our recent trip to Kerala. Rather than turning out to be the relaxed vacation which I had in mind it turned to be hectic in every sense of the word!

Sensing Kerala is not the same as what we get to see in those subtle Incredible India ads – believe me on this. It takes more than just good planning and a great place to create a memorable trip. Down the years when I travel back the memory lane I’ll still look back at our “hectic” five day trip to Thrissur not with apathy or anguish, as can be expected from an extraordinarily tiring and gruesome trip, but rather with amazement at the abundance of nature that I got to see in so many varied forms.
