This is what a billion “mad” heads were thinking about over the past few weeks and we have it at last – we have the bragging rights now to call ourselves Champions of the World!
I read the score card wondering if the fool’s day had come in a bit late! It was probably my hallucination – after all I wanted it so selfishly for the past few weeks now. It never sank in really that the day has come to pass when we can call ourselves “world champions” at last!

German & Indian work cultures – a quick comparison
It would be completely unfair to have come to a place on business visit and to end up without any word on the new work culture!

My observations, so far, in “Fatherland”!
A quick look back on what I’ve observed so far in Erlangen (or Germany for that matter):

An attempt to foresee the circle of afterlife as (if) told by someone experiencing it!
The Sun sets in the West – that’s what we’ve been told; or made to believe rather. Well, it’s certainly not the case here. I know it may sound stupid. But this place, wherever it is, never seems to go dark, something that I can only feel, for I seem to have lost the power of my sight; strange though it may seem, I can feel the warmth of the light. Anyway, I’ve always believed it’s all just relative – this light & dark business. You might conclude that I am lying; that would be a hasty decision. You haven’t seen, ahem, gone through what I’ve experienced here!

A look into why any human can easily be classified as the craziest creature to walk on earth!
He sees the open vast lands
And is not satisfied with it
He splits himself into territories
And proclaims he’s a patriot!
He knows no god and yet
Wants to defend the unknown
Practicing strange beliefs, fighting
And sometimes killing the seen for the unseen!

Has India managed to embrace technology as it is today? A small incident to higlight the truth…
‘I love gadgets’ Yes I really do. In fact, this ‘new found’ love made me start a community by the same name in orkut (publicity 😉 ). But sometimes, I really find myself in the wrong place as far as electronics go.
I happened to make a call to a shop, selling all consumer electronic items, to enquire about the pricing of a flat screen TV (out of curiosity of course 🙂 ).
“Do you have any flat screen TV? How much is the cost?”
“We don’t procure them sir, nobody in this place (you can take it as Chennai) will get it!”

Who are the luckiest of the lot?
Just some thoughts passing by the realities of life:
Some people are lucky,
Always appreciated and
Romancing the world.
Some more are lucky,
To appreciate the talented,
To applaud and enjoy anything
That comes their way.

A simple reason for all Indians to worry about!
R: “Who wrote the National Poem and National Anthem?”
P1 (Beaming; with the intensity of a 4 year old having solved a 12th standard math paper!): “Is this a trick question or what? Both are same!”
P2: “That poem was actually done by several poets. Anthem… I don’t know.”
Anyone who caught a glimpse of that small (8-10 minutes) video in Headlines Today news channel on Independence Day will understand what I am talking about.
I think they decided to quiz our beloved Rajya Sabha members about some really difficult and intimidating questions related to rocket science (read ‘our’ history). Now I can’t conjure words to describe the feelings of the journalist who had the guts to take on such an impetuous task!
I only wish these masterminds, spend their time and effort on something worthwhile!
The word sums it all up, I guess. An unfortunate and unforeseen force, created by the arms race; there is no stopping it now for it spreads its stink all directions. A modern day terrorist need not be a bearded man with Arab clothing and a Kalashnikov. Of course such silhouettes still exist, but like any group with extreme intentions they are learning the act of survival.
You meet Sam at the XY airport – a guy who looks handsome, intelligent, well learned, and well mannered and most importantly can look straight into your eyes while striking a conversation. He has to board his plane and departs in haste and quickly blows the plane to smithereens!

Do all the films deserve the hype they get?
Stardom, fanaticism, craze, sleaze, fame, glory, conspiracies, gossips, limelight – a mix of all these; Cinema is all about it.
People get easily affected by what they hear and what they see. To a lot of people to see, is to believe. Imagine what would happen when a deadly mix of sight, sound and act get together. It could take you to new heights; make you visualize things which you can hardly ever dream of; things which are fantastic, to things which are mundane.
