Kodai Trip

The final lap of the trekking was to the Raam Paarai. One literally has to jump over two mountain like rocks to reach this place! Personally I felt that the mist had helped for the first time in this trip, for we were not able to see the depth at which we stood!

We headed back after getting our breath (and heart) back. In the excitement we even forgot to test the Echo part of the Echo Point :D ! There was no respite from the mist and we were never able to see how beautiful the mountains turn out to be at the view point :(

After a tiring uphill climb we were taken to the unforgettable Vattakkanal Falls. The water, though not even knee deep, was unbelievably cold. But that didn’t stop us from our usual photo-posing ceremonies. After spending quite a lot of time there we finally decided it was time to refuel.

The Tava Hotel despite being tiny serves good food and we relished every single dish made. Our last destination in Kodai was the Fairy Falls. A lovely falls that could only add up to the lasting memories of the past three days :)

Even the descent from Kodai did not stop the picturesque spots from showing up every now and then. We managed to take a few snaps at the bottom of the hill (Dum-Dum Falls view).

Our final destination was the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai. Unbelievably huge, stunning architecture and uncountable distance to walk across wasn’t exactly what our tired legs and sleepy eyes demanded. But we still roamed inside the temple for 2 hours before coming out to find our slippers were stolen :(

Anyways, they say your bad luck goes off with your stolen slippers; hoping (superstitiously) that it is so! The trip had come to an end, but the memories as they say – lingers on!
