The whole world seems to be winding down to a cacophony of sorts. We’ve lost a lot of coherence and people are heading into oblivion. I wrote this to remind us of our better times, to help rethink our priorities as a society and to reiterate where we will always stand!
When the great minds of my times proclaimed “its time for us to colonize other planets”, the question raging in my mind was “why are we not there yet“? But now considering how “truly advanced” we’re, the only thing that I am pondering about is “how are we still here… and surviving?”

Is nature simply a reflection of the thoughts in our mind? Then how is it possible that two people look at the same object and yet come up with views so differently? Something that I tried to translate when watching a blooming flower
From the barren land
Will rise a Kingdom
Where this story shall be told.
A small fortress of green
Shall sprout from nowhere
Holding a spirit divine.

Isn’t it fitting that it takes a heart to balance the rhythm of life and love to make some sense of our existence? Here are my thoughts which try to join the, rather, vague dots connecting love, life and that divine touch.
Here’s something that’s never going to make practical sense. The chink in our “survival armour”. The impractical solution that just exacerbated our every day problems. Thanks God!

My entry for a theme based story writing competition in my organization. I wrote under the theme “I wake up to find myself as a monkey in the zoo.” There was a 300 character word limit and the condition that the story must be funny and original.
‘It had to be here somewhere! The alarm clock… Strangely it was just giving a humming noise; it must be broken!‘
I woke up a bit dizzy. ‘This isn’t my bedroom… What’s with the stink?!’
‘Who are those kids and why are they behind bars? They don’t seem very sad.‘ It was then that the ‘aaha moment‘ hit me.
I looked down on myself and noticed the transformation. ‘I am monkey in a zoo! A shiver went down my spine – or whatever it is that a monkey has.‘

Looking back at 2013 I feel it was just that kind of the year which one wishes to get away from! Here’s hoping 2014 brings in more joy!
Blank! That’s what comes to my mind the moment I think about 2013. Neither here, nor there; neither enthralling, nor a let down.

While everyone sees an end to the career of a great cricketer, I feel the concept of Sachin is what we ought to be really bothered about and that will live forever.
While some strive to achieve glory despite all their human limitations, some are bestowed talent so immense that the world simply cannot help but take notice. Then there are those rare few who are endowed with prowess beyond wildest imagination and yet somehow manage to stretch the limits by sheer hard work, perseverance and above all humility. They are whom I’ll call divine!

When you see that a villain has managed to cause anxiety issues to the ever cool Iron Man, you can be certain that there is a lot more at play than that meets the eye.
In this third installment of Iron Man, we see Tony Stark and not the Iron Man battle out the villain. The question is can he take on the action and adrenalin all by himself without losing his cool.

Today I happened to see the lifeless body of an unknown person with his brains spilled out on the road. These were some after thoughts, once I managed to slowly digest the plain horror of the scene.
Accidents happen everyday, everywhere, all the time. Sometimes it may cause insignificant damage and sometimes it can be fatal. Isn’t this what all of us are taught? But somehow I feel we forgot to pen down the effects it may have on the onlookers. The shock wave that hits us the moment we realize what if it had been me or worse – my family? My quick look back at 2012 and wishes for 2013.
It’s not a review of the movie if that’s what you are thinking. Just looking back at the year that went by.

What a sad state we have come to, when we realize a girl is no longer safe neither in womb nor on the streets, neither from kin nor from strangers, that neither her grooming nor her education can stop her from getting groped or molested. Have we collectively lost all our senses or is it because we are completely shameless?
It is not very common, that an incident, no matter how untoward, draws unanimous flak from an entire nation. There was the exceptional scenario of India against corruption several months ago. This was not just one single demonstration but rather a wave of protests, undertaken for seeing a very positive transformation in our country. It was a welcome change from our lethargic selves. I can sense a similar large scale protest happening; this time at the heart of India, sadly, for a reason which we all would have wished never happened in the first place.
