I am trying to summarize the course of events as they unfolded in my hometown during the last four days. Chennai is perhaps one of the first cities experiencing a serious repercussion of Global Warming. But I am hoping Chennaites derive a lot of positives out of this ordeal and the world media starts to read between the lines.
I am jittery as I write this. My hometown Chennai is in the news for all the bad reasons. For those of you who are living under a rock, this is one of Indian metropolitan cities. Wikipedia might be able to give more stats about the population and other stats.

My feelings and thoughts vented out seeing the crisis that some of us manage to put ourselves into, even with the given opportunity and time. Perhaps it shows, more than clearly, that we have a long way to go before we gain the trust of others who manage themselves better and more importantly that we need to put our thinking caps on and regain that lost self pride.
I stood there in the porch
Waiting for the sun to come out;
Little did I know the storm was dense
That we were already blind in every sense.

The weather played spoil sport during our short trip to Passau, but despite that we did have a short enjoyable trip at this great place.
My house owner once told me that “if you haven’t seen Passau then you haven’t been to Germany yet“! After a day’s trip to this famous tourist spot, that is void of monumental attractions and offers a rather naturalistic beauty, I guess he couldn’t have been more right!
