The first falls – known as the Monkey Falls became a crowded affair, with humans and monkeys fighting for space (sic). After spending a few hours of quiet amidst nature, we left for a quick sumptuous lunch and were then all set for a long journey to the Thirumoorthy Falls which itself involved a mini-trek.
The falls was a world of its own; trickling down the rocky terrain, it was a beauty to look at – a remarkable tourist spot. And this is where we decided to camp for the whole of the evening; at one point even putting our return journey at stake!
Alas all good things come to an end and we had to leave, rather reluctantly, back to our hotel and then almost immediately, back to Coimbatore. It was truly, a team-building trip. We were all smiles and chirpy all the way back home, not yet ready to leave behind the exquisite trip we had the pleasure of enjoying.
PS: A special mention would be the windmills which you get to see while traveling to the Thirumoorthy Falls. Probably the second most abundant thing after the coconut trees! Don’t miss it if you happen to be there!
