Something written impromptu; maybe I hear too many unheard cries of late? This is written for those kids whose childhood has been cut short – perhaps by war, calamity or acts of terror.
They were not meant to be headline news in negative sense. Maybe if we were tolerant enough, we might have seen another flower bloom
I was born in someone’s womb,
Cherished, nourished and nurtured.
I have been in the shop of candy
Built a castle on the sea shore.
I loved the rocking horse,
Also the carousel at fun fair.
I’ve founded many realms, in play;
Lost countless hours in peekaboo.

I stood in front of a little wooden box
Mellow at first touch,
And coarse by the next
Curious, I slid open its crest.
It had two pairs of glasses
One rimmed with a golden frame
The other all rotten and rust
I decided, that try them I must.

Who is tasked with running of the world?
Whose ideals should humanity follow?
What is society without tolerance?
What is a mind without a choice?
Perched on the lush green tree,
In the middle of the field,
It’s eyes scouted the scene
Waiting for the next prey to yield.
There was much clamour,
Boisterous loud noises,
When men in fine armour
Burnt faith in to ashes.
Spitting and spewing hatred
With every gasp of breath;
Love’s defence was truly shattered
Whilst they did fight to their death!

A retrospective look at an year gone by in a jiffy! And thoughts for the year to come.
It’s that wonderful feeling all over again. Time to start everything afresh. It’s new year time, of course. 2011 has been a year of downs and ups. Kind of bumpy, and I am sure looking forward to 2012.

What is considered blasphemy nowadays could have very well been heroic in an era gone by!
Akbar waited with bated breath for the vehicle to pass. He had the humongous responsibility of taking the small building down. The thought didn’t deter him. Neither did it shake the insurmountable wall of faith for the cause which had given him a new life.
Never in his life had he thought he will end up taking arms. And if the gods have mercy on him, he may not have to go through the ordeal again. He knew he would be hunted down one way or another in case he survived. He just wanted to see those who caused so much suffering to his fellowmen, suffer in return; he wanted to see those men, who ruined his land, to die.

A lot of questions; elementary but probably unanswerable…
Why is it, that,
Caste ridden society can never progress
Yet no society has known to be sans-caste?
Why is it, that,
A man is tongue tied seeing his beloved
When they are meant to chit-chat for eternity?
Why is it, that,
Men need borders to keep organized
Whilst the heart roams scot-free?

I only wish these masterminds, spend their time and effort on something worthwhile!
The word sums it all up, I guess. An unfortunate and unforeseen force, created by the arms race; there is no stopping it now for it spreads its stink all directions. A modern day terrorist need not be a bearded man with Arab clothing and a Kalashnikov. Of course such silhouettes still exist, but like any group with extreme intentions they are learning the act of survival.
You meet Sam at the XY airport – a guy who looks handsome, intelligent, well learned, and well mannered and most importantly can look straight into your eyes while striking a conversation. He has to board his plane and departs in haste and quickly blows the plane to smithereens!
